Bra-Making Class: Rani Wired Solids

Registering for the Sewing Classes includes LIVE classes and office hours with experienced teachers, plus a Sewing Kit with all the material you need to create your bra:

• Seven weeks of live sewing lessons via Zoom with an intimate class of students – step by step. 
  
• Sewing Kit with all bra supplies (includes fabric and notions).
  
• Enough material & supplies for up to three practice bras plus your final Rani Bra
  
• Live Class Replays + Weekly Class Handouts so you can revisit the classes whenever you want. 
  
• Weekly Office Hours + 1-1 Session: Dedicated time where you can ask questions and get help troubleshooting, plus a private session with your teacher.

We’ll send you all the materials to make each bra in your Sewing Kit, but there are some supplies you’ll need to have on hand for sewing and constructing your bra.

Supplies to have ready for class: 

• Sewing machine & needles
• Fabric shears or 18mm rotary cutter
• Cutting mat for cutting fabric
• Small scissors for trimming threads
• Good quality polyester thread
• Soft measuring tape
• Fine pins

Sewing Classes
Every Saturday at 9:30am (Pacific Time), you'll get one sewing lesson that focuses on 2-3 aspects of bra making.

Can't make every class? We've got you covered. Every session is recorded, and replays arrive in your inbox to revisit as many times as you need.

Office Hours
Every Wednesday at 4:00pm Pacific Time, your teacher will host 30 minute office hours where you can chat and get extra support if you're running into any issues or challenges as you make your bra. During the sewing break, office hours run both weeks so you have extra support to finish your bra.

Beginners and beyond. You do not need to have made a bra before, just a little patience and a willingness to be challenged, and we will guide you through every step. A wired bra asks slightly more of you than a wireless one, which is exactly why we sew it together. If you would rather start with something gentler, our Sahaara classes are the softest entry point.

The Rani (pronounced "raah-nee"), a wired plunge bra pattern named after the Sanskrit word for queen. Because that's what you are, and your bras should fit like it.

Three years in the making, the Rani is our first wired pattern, sampled and tested across every size range until the look, the shape, and the feel were exactly right. The low, open neckline sits beautifully under plunge tops and dresses, while non-stretch cups keep you lifted and supported.

Whether this is your first bra or your fiftieth, the Rani is a minimal, approachable sew, guided by a fully illustrated manual. A bra that’s made by you, and fits, flatters and functions just for you.

The pattern comes in over 60 sizes and A-K cups.
